I'm jbrown, 37 years old and have been training for about 2 years. After browsing the forums I'm glad I've found the site, looks like mostly sound advice here and little bs. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated.
I'm 5'10" weigh 175-180 pounds and my current best lifts (tested last week) are:
Squat - 330 (belt only)
Bench - 255
Deadlift - 355
Goal is to get strong as possible and stay around the 180 pound mark. I'm plenty happy with my size and from what I've seen (in limited time) the heavier lifters tend to take on more injuries.
I've just recently felt my stride in training. My forms feel efficient and have finally found beneficial volume (for an old body). I feel a reasonable goal to be adding 100 pounds on my total by the 1st of next year. That'll be about 6 months allowing for approximately 2 training cycles.
