I'm not on your level yet. Another plate or two and about another 2.5 hours per session I reckon

Thanks. Second was about the same speed as the first. I'm a little slow on the way down at the moment. Once I drop faster it'll be easier.

Nice work on the cambered bar. Is that easier or harder than using a straight bar?
I plan on being unequipped for the foreseeable in the gym but only as a way to improve my equipped numbers. I'm just reducing the time I spend cheating to just near meet time

It's a 4" cambered bar so it's more to make squatting easier on my elbows and shoulder girdle than anything. It does try to round me over in the upper back though so slightly harder. Not noticeable.

Good stuff. Off course even better would be to never put the equipment. All this strength you'll build may as well do it on the platform proper

Most of best single ply guys I know (eg Dean Bowring, Rob Palmer) the majoirty of their training across the year without gear or at least reduced gear,

That's the idea. Going to build up raw and using things like knee wraps and slingshot sparingly, then stick on the gear a month or so out to make sure I'm grooved.

Wow - very surprised to see a new journal Al! I reckon I am the last holdout with the oldest log now lol.

Well, a double at 200K certainly is well on your way to 'redeeming" yourself. At any rate, it sounds like you are definitely on a well focused mission.

I feel more focused Jim. I have allowed myself to be weak for too long.
