Each source has a different amino profile, so we were always taught to vary our protein sources, and by doing so you were covering more "amino bases", if this makes sense?

It may or may not have the same supporting nutrition as an egg, but the protein levels are still substantial for bread, which is good.

As long as you're not only eating bread for a protein source, it's all good.

People on medically restrictive diets due to certain conditions have to drop the protein intake which means any protein found in any food, even the minutest amount has to be accounted for...so, theoretically the body sees all protein the same way, in one sense, but obviously, as already highlighted protein sources have differences in their BV (biological value).
