I'm thinking that curve might be a bit too much for me for a slow eccentric because of roll. Perhaps just paranoia. If it were a very slight curve I'd like to try it.

Pulled off blocks for the first time yesterday and I thought it was awesome. No idea about carryover, but it was fun just hearing the BOOM as you put the weights down compared to in a rack where it just feels like the hooks are going to break/bar is going to bend.

I do both rack pull and off-the-floor pulls -- I don't have blocks, so I stack 45s to desired height. I don't do a lot of rep work, so rolling issues are...well...not an issue. See example here:
