Here's the full write-up:

SSA Long Island Classic
Holbrook, NY


I cut weight again for this meet, like the one in March. This time, it caused me to have a headache due to dehydration and lack of food, but I put plenty of fluids and nutrients back into my body afterward, so I was ready the following day for the meet. Like the previous one, it looks like I was ~170 on meet day.


Squat:

1st Attempt: 420 (Good Lift)
2nd Attempt: 460 (Good Lift) - 5lb meet (or anywhere) PR
3rd Attempt: Pass

^ The opener was no problem, and 460 was tough but manageable. I passed the third to ensure that I wasn't too fatigued for the bench and dead.


^ Squat: 460



Bench Press:

1st Attempt: 245 (Good Lift)
2nd Attempt: 265 (Good Lift) - 5lb meet PR (also tied my pause PR in the gym)
3rd Attempt: Pass

^ Easy opener, then 265 was easy off my chest, but grinded a little toward the end. Same as the squat, I passed my 3rd in order to ensure domination of the deadlift.


^ Bench: 265



Deadlift:

1st Attempt: 510 (Good Lift)
2nd Attempt: 560 (Good Lift) - 5lb meet PR
3rd Attempt: 570 (Good Lift) - 15lb meet PR (also tied my gym PR)

^ I smoked the first two pulls, then after popping an ammonia capsule, the 570 went up without too much of a struggle. Maybe I should've tried a fourth attempt of 580 because I broke the current record with both 560 and 570, but decided to stop after my 3rd attempt. One of the reasons for that decision was that 580 (my intended 4th) wouldn't count toward my total because it wasn't one of the first three attempts. Plus, there's always next meet, most likely in November.

^ Dead: 570 (Finish)



Total: 1295 (25lb PR) @ 165 Raw

- Along with winning my division, I also won the Best Overall Lifter award by coefficient, barely (less than half of a point) beating my friend, Mike Maloney (another Coliseum member), who was also lifting raw, but in the 198 class. With that award came a $200 cash prize. That was cool because I never won anything besides trophies in the past.

- My total is significantly above the current elite classification (1261 @ 165) on the 100% Raw website, and it's 3lbs below the old number of 1298 before the January 2012 revision over there.
