Another easy way to add calories to shakes is flax seed oil. It's good fat, and just a tablespoon is around 100 calories if I remember correctly. Weight gainers are fine if they help you reach your caloric goals.

My vote would be to make your own weight gainer shake. It would be cheaper and give you control over your macros.

It could look something like:

10-12 ounces of milk
1/3 cup frozen berries
2 scoops of whey
1/4 or 1/3 cup of oats
1-1.5 tablespoons of olive oil
any amount of peanut butter (if you want)

You'll need a blender, but could blend and take with you easily.
