I get turnip sticks from the farmer's market, they cut them into very thin sticks. Also they do green beans. Mind you these are probably fried, not baked.

Hmm, I would say any of the non-nightshade (potatoe) tubers mentioned thus far would do the job quite nicely. Even yams (which are not a potatoe) would be alright. Although, if you're trying to mimic paleo eating habits I would recommend eating any tubers sparingly on a regular basis or gorging on them with nothing else very rarely as they were desparation food eaten only during shortages of better food sources.
