Great updates GL. A big thumbs up on progression. That seems like a fairly trivial topic, but from my experience it can be one of the most difficult topics for trainees to understand.

Great updates. I hope everyone is pressing forward on this challenge. I have adjusted my rep counts and am having to move to afternoon training, but am loving the challenge.

Carl.
Absolutely. Hop on board. We would love to know your thoughts.

We are trying hard to re-explore a frontier that was abandoned by Weider and gang, and I personally have a lot to learn and look forward to your thoughts on your program.

Off topic...

In general, I believe fullbody workouts are much more evolutionary in nature (as opposed to the program hopping mindset), and for this reason they tend to be less of a headache for me, as I am generally not much of a program hopper (except for 2010).

It makes sens to me that a program should evolve with you, rather than doing XYZ for 3 months then changing completely, if you are evolving the routine then the body is having to adapt to new stresses (or rather increases in the normal stresses) but the CNS isnt going to have to completely readjust to a new style of training. one of the reasons IMO that people chopping and changing all the time think they arent getting the gains they want is because of the fact that they are changing all the time. Changing routines and trying to 'shock' the muscles etc I think is more a way of training if using 'assistance', same as the huge 5 or 6 days split routines that are peddled by the muscle mags... i just think a natural trainer would do better by progressing a routine and slightly evolving it as they go along rather than completely changing a routine all the time, losing consistency and the body (CNS, tendons etc...) having to adapt all over again.

Whether it is a split or a fullbody i think evolving the routine is gonna be better than changing for a new one all the time. personally i have made my best gains so far from NOT changing my routine and just tweaking it here and there as i got bored.

Just my 2p worth

Carl.

Thanks BT. We're glad you and guys (and gals) like Carl, MC, 5kg, Abs and the like are over here with us.

I have a lot to learn about fullbodies as well, and still feel like a rookie.

Me too Steve, but having a whole new direction and knowing that i have a lot to learn has really spurred me on, when i must admit my interest and motivation were at a bit of a low...

Really glad I found this site tbh, cos without it, you and glwanabe I think i may have been ready to chuck it all in....
