Squat speed day. This day was HARD. It took it out of me, and I didn't even do the whole planned workout.

Speed squats with bands-

Barely got the 2 sets with 185 done. Starting to get really tired now.

Pause squats-

The plan was 225x8 for 2 sets, but I was about to pass out after the first set. I was just done. After all this I tried to do some GHRs, but I just couldn't do it. The pressure of the pads on my quads was just too painful. I decided to abandon the leg extensions and pullups, because my quads are completely fried and I'm still really sore in my lats from deadlifts 3 days ago.

The shear volume of squats today took its toll on me. During the last set of pause squats my right arm actually started to cramp up from getting under the bar over and over with my narrow grip/low bar hold.

I HATE front squats. I hate them so much. BUT, they didn't hurt my shoulder like they have in the past, and that's really awesome news. I barely got the 185 for 5. Hopefully that number will grow. All I know is that after front squats it felt powerful to go back to a back squat, even though it was pause squats (I hate those too).

Tomorrow will be my first day back to work, and a rest day from the gym. Saturday will be the bodybuilding day.
