How much caffeine is safe or effective I think is highly individual, so that's something you'd have to experiment with. I wouldn't do anything crazy like triple the amount you're taking or anything though.

As for the waning effectiveness, try cycling it out for a week or two, then back in, hopefully that will keep it working for you at that dose.
