Good articles but this week, I an guilty of using the Smith Machine for light squats. I am having issues with the L4 and L5 Lumbar Vertebrae so I can't squat with a barbell or do an assortment of exercises that I enjoy. The Smith machine is like a set of training wheels and I hope in a few months I will be able to squat properly again. This week, I squatted without pain for the first time in many months. But yeah, I wouldn't use it otherwise!
