Well, for me, that's because that's when I followed bodybuilding most closely. But I'm sure there are plenty of more modern guys that surpass them.

Coleman has unbelievable biceps. Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Jay Cutler...all incredible. In fact, maybe that's one reason why the earlier bodybuilders stand out: because they were noted for a particular feature that drew attention to itself, rather being absolutely massive everywhere.
