My son and I are both down 3 pounds from the start of the contest. I feel 3 pounds is perfect. It hasn't effected his performance and it's probably helping a bit. I will monitor his performance closely to make sure there is no drop in strength. Only looking for 1 lb loss next week.
I am not limiting his food, just his food choices. He is allowed to eat all the meat, fruit and veggies he can handle. Then I limit the amount of breads and cereals he eats and give him healthier desert choices; Yogurt, fruit, Popsicle, etc. If he does well, then he gets a weekly treat of a milk shake or ice cream on Fridays. C'mon Friday, Daddy needs a milk shake
It's killing me to not be in the gym more than twice a week, but I know for a fact that it will be good for us. Looking forward to a Bench workout tomorrow.
