That was thought provoking.

There's different levels of success though. There's the mind set of a top 1%er who genetically or not wants top 1% success. Obviously, the genetically gifted get there easier, but even the grinders have to have that as a goal for years and years.

But, some just want to be the strongest in their gym, town, state, etc. If it goes further, what the hell, give it a whirl. What if a genetic freak just wants to win his local tournament every year but doesn't care to compete elsewhere. Is he a failure?

And who's more successful in the end? The guy with the biggest total, or the happiest?

No disrepect intended. I know you meant this post to be inspiring for average joes to plug away and be great, but what I'm saying is average joe's can be great just by getting themselves to the level they want to be at, whatever that level is.
