Try it and see. For general strength and conditioing for a sport I highly doubt it matters what style you use. I certanly don't think one is more 'athletic' than the other.

I think for most sporting uses I highly doubt it matters where you put the bar. WL need certain tech as its relevent to their competitive lifts....
