If it is a few months, more than training adjustments, I would straighten out the diet, and lose some fat slowly (1lbs/week is a good starting point).

Higher reps/finishers/drop sets may be good...

You could try to put in 2.5 lbs plates underneath all the legs of the bench so as to increase the height of the bench (if the hook is a little too high) and see how that feels.

Been there myself....
