12 Lifts of Christmas
 
12 Lifts of Christmas

We are looking at putting together a challenge to help end the new year with a bang. Basically, starting in December we will have 12 PR attempts, one each day on a different lift.

These PR attempts certainly don't have to be one rep max attempts. Rep PRs work fine. We're just looking to do this for fun, not to kill anyone.

We need a good mix of lifts and movements.

Suggestions?

Standing, single arm DB press for 5 reps.

Klokov Press. DB/KB Snatch. Farmer's Walk. Weighted Dip. Weighted Chinup. Walking Lunge.

Just a few things off the top of my head. But before I go any further... how "different" or "interesting" do you want them to be? Or on the other hand, now "normal"?

TGU, 1 rep each side...DB or KB (dependent on access).

Klokov I will make a command decision and remove it from consideration. Us fatties can't do it.

Farmer's walk is a good choice. I like that. Most of us fatties can't chinup.

Strict, no kneebend at all. If we permit push-press, someone is bound to half jerk it...fine line, so strict it is.
