Sugar Most Dangerous Drug.

I'm not sure about that. I don't know too many people who splurge by having just a little meth every now and then.

If we're talking numbers, than that's another thing. I would agree that sugar has probably killed more people than any drug out there.

LOL. I once heard a priest say:"Masturbation is more addictive than heroine."

They wrote 'is' when they should have written 'is not' :)

Simply typo I am assuming. No newspaper would ever use such hyperbole.

Does that mean the skinny addicts get therapy for free?

Not being funny to the guy but not every person that consumes huge amounts of sugar is in fact obese or even overweight, a percentage, albeit possibly a small or smaller percentage of people, are of regular/normal weight.

Last I heard, meat was dangerous, dairy was dangerous, salt was dangerous, grains were dangerous, saturated fats were dangerous, cholesterol was dangerous... (I lose track about there.)

And yet, oddly :dunno2:, if you took those things out of the diets of the strongest, healthiest people I know... there wouldn't be much left, lol! :chicken:

Doesnt' make sense to me. Oh, and some of them have plenty of sugar too, when they want to - just for good measure. How can this be?

edit: And a fair number of them consume alcohol regularly, as well.

Sugar is just part of the overall food addiction problem.

I personally avoid it as much as I can. I am the only person in my family/history to avoid Diabetes. I think my diet has gone a long ways to prevent it.

sugar is a nutrient, not a pharmaceutical :p

I thought it was interesting that Amsterdam of all places, was calling sugar the most "dangerous drug" of the day.

It is addictive, but controllable. The problem really isn't sugar, it is an inanimate object, the problem is how people choose to use that inanimate object. "Milk is a natural," but if I drink it to excess, I will get fat. You just need to be smart in how you use sugars of any kind.
