Steve Goggins calls out Dave Hoff!

https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/...lk/id544187129

The most recent episode about the Westside Invitational. It gets pretty heated between Goggins and well everyone else on the set haha. He asks Hoff if he thought his squat was legit and Hoff just dances around the question. Eventually Goggins says "Belt and knee wraps, Ill out squat you right now." I think Goggins just had enough of it, and was sick of the dancing around. Either way, pretty interesting.

Also in the broadcast is Dan Dauge(XPC), Donnie Thompson(put on the WS meet, and first man to total 3k), Shawn Mendelson, and a few others.

Also the reason why the squat looks high is because they were on a platform

Wow. Also saw Goggins did 750 belt and wraps last week so he may well be close to beating Hoff raw :)

Does Goggins actually squat to depth atm?

I am sure I shall listen at some point.

I don't really follow Goggins training, but he is 50 years old, and still a legend in the sport. I think at the end of the day he just got sick of Hoff dodging the questions.

It is worth listening to, as Goggins simply was trying to say that the judging sucked, and that if it doesn't improve then neither will the sport. He even goes on to say that if the squat was close, he wouldn't have an issue at all.

Then Goggins is right.

Allthough, to be fair, its only truly effecting the small part of the sport were judging and standards appears poor.

Not sure about overseas, but in the US that is 90% of the meets right now. Way too much inconsistency. Either too many pointless rules, or rules not being enforced evenly.

Hopefully that made sense.
