Old Farts Deadlifting

This cracked me up. On another forum, a member stated: (paraphrase)

I saw a man over 50 years old deadlifting 330 pounds so when I realized how old he was I got out my camera and started filming because I thought it was worth recording and close to a record.

Age is only a number!
After a few posts someone chimes in...

Just to let you know 330 pounds at age 50 isn't really that impressive.

Deadlifting 330 lbs at any age is impressive.

It was probably worth taping just to see somebody working hard with a barbell.

Hey look! Someone using a barbell and not benching!

Get a camera!

I'll be deadlifting Tuesday. Bring the camera. Singles for 370 is on the menu. Maybe more if it feels good.

Tell the teens you're setting a world record. They just might believe it.

No? You think the average person can just go in and pull 330? Im new at this, but I'm pretty sure it takes some decent work to get that strong.

Average people are lame, doing something that the average person can't do shouldn't be the standard of impressiveness.
