Default Kyle Gulledge 830 Deadlift @ 19

Anyone remember Kyle Gulledge? A few years back he hit an 830 deadlift at age 19, and then seemed to disappear.

His brother Dave made this (not famous) powerlifting transformation a few years back.

Well I remarked to Ltl this morning that longevity is a huge factor in lifting. Keep walking forward and you'll surprise yourself.

We often see phenoms rise up the ranks quickly, but fade before they reach their Internet-fan appointed destiny. No disrespect meant to Kyle Gulledge, of course. I am certain back then someone touted him as the next 1000 pound deadlifter. Perhaps he will get close one day.

Point being...to get there, you have to get there.
