You won't want to use anything that could move... like a chair w/wheels. A flat bench can work. I built a box out of 2x4's a while back. Just stack 'em, criss-cross, nail or screw it down to a minimum height. Build another short box or two so that you can have a few heights... or just throw plates or mats on top of the base for the same effect. Design can vary but kept it stupid-simple... a box and a sturdy one at that.

I made a box with 2x4's. Took a couple hours to build, but fairly straightforward.
