Don't plates spin on the Oly bars anyway? If so, that would make things difficult to balance.

I am pretty sure if I tried it a plate would land on my foot.

This is dumb...

The sleeves on the bar spin so you can rotate the bar without having to fight the friction of the weights. The plates don't spin... Silly. ;)

But you do on occasion see the plates rotating, no? Looks like it with some of the heavy Oly lifters, unless as you say it's spinning underneath and the plates are stationary...illusion job going on :confused:

Its the devil work of science; they don't spin them on purpose. Not deliberately like this.

Couldn't you just use exercise bands. I'm almost 100% sure they make bands that actually decrease in tension as they are stretched.
