They are rehband neoprene knee sleeves. They keep your knees nice and warm during lifting. Expensive but worth every penny.

Maybe Steve knows but I never seen him post a weight as of late. Only fat %'s and using the mirror. I know he does keep this rule during bulk

He posted this in his log: "So overall total was 1660. My goal was 1650 for my first meet back so I was happy. It was a 57 lb improvement over my previous best meet total."

Insane considering the fact he was missing 25 lbs off of his DL. Had he gotten that 25 lbs, or even just a 5 lb PR putting him at 1690, he would be less than 20 lbs from the highest total in the USPAL Raw 220s (1708.5 lbs as of 3/21/10)....and he was only 210.6 lbs.

I think he can break that within another year or two depending on what shows he does next and how long he wants his offseason to be. I think he said he planned on going back up to 230 this offseason so I'd imagine it will be a while.

For the bodybuilding contests? 196 lbs I believe. 210.6 lbs for the recent powerlifting competition.

Off topic, but on the issue of natural gains - I looked through Layne's contest prep articles and journals. He was 191 lbs in 2004. 196 lbs in 2010. 5 lbs increase in 6 years. That should throw some light on how hard it is to maintain muscle mass while dieting down to contest condition.

More like he is EXTREMELY close to his natural potential, especially in the lifts department. He would be lucky to get to 199-200 on stage in the same condition within the same length of an offseason like that, although I don't think he plans on that prolonged of an offseason this go around. Those 5 lbs were just straight up LBM, and most of the mass went to his quads/hams as they were lacking in comparison. Not really an issue of maintaing his muscle mass as it is he just is close to 100%, probably in the 95%+ range. He doesn't really put up measurements too often but I remember Casey posting it in a thread on his forum (weightrainer) and it came out to something like that.

BBers don't care about weight, tape messure things like that. Thats why the higher quality pro they are, the less you see them posted.
BBing is all about how you look. Thats why he don't post much in that area.

I agree. Most top bodybuilders weigh a lot less than they look like they should if you know what I mean.
