Default Boards for board press

I want to make me some here soon, anyone made them some?

Reason being, it gives me and my son something to do with the wood in the backyard...plus the Mrs. will be thrilled that we are being "constructive" and not destructive

We've made 1-4 boards... just nail/ screw some 2x6s together with the first one being longer to give you a handle...

I'm actually planning to use 3/4" plywood to make in between boards- 1.5, 2.5 boards.

My Dad (in the US I think you'd say he used to teach woodshop??? In the UK it's called woodwork) made mine. He did pretty much what D said and screwed 2 x 6 boars together bit then used a router to smooth the corners off. Don't forget to cut a decent sized handle too. I think the Elitefts site has the dimensions of their boards on there.

Made some a few months back. 2x6 and wood glue, work great. Here are some pics. Bigger version is available in my Stuff album.

rather than use screws , I used Velcro so I didn't have to make but one set.

Cool idea. If/when I get around to making me some boards, I'll need to consider this
