Damn thats a lot of weight. Is it just me, or did he drop down faster than most of the suited squats i've seen?

Note:I'm not saying anything negative at all, just curious if raw squats drop faster than geared.

Interesting that he walked it back and moved into a wide stance. That's tricky to do.

Gear works in a specific groove AND makes it difficult to get down on squats as the resistance slows you down. RAW will always be faster.

Nice to see someone squat an impressive weight without anyone talking about depth! Granted there have been some valid arguments on the other videos, and you'd have to be a fool to argue his depth.

Out of curiosity...how much help do knee wraps give? I know some federations allow them for raw divisions, whole others do not. Which makes me assume that they must offer a significant amount, otherwise they would be allowed across the board.

Boucher-I've heard that they generally give 10-50lbs depending on form, stance ect, with narrow stance benefiting the most.
