A lift total of 650/457/750 would be 1857, correct? That sounds about right.
1607 could be satisfied as 550/357/700. Somehow that doesn't quite strike me as being Elite for a 242lb male.

Hell Tony, I think you could tear them all up. Naturally. I suspect someday you will. All records will bow down to BBG.
Interesting discussion though.

shae jones at RUM3 went 672/523/650, just missed elite. Highest 242 total at RUM4 was 795kg/1752 with 650/451/650. The deadlift numbers in your examples are both too high.

I would think that a 700 Deadlift and a 550-600 Squat are both reasonable for a good Deadlifter. The Bench might be lower, though. I could be wrong; just giving my thoughts.

Most great deadlifters are one trick ponies. Generally your best deadlifters are long limbed, short torso which is bad for squatting and bench. The more fortunate will be long armed and not necessarilly short torso so the squat leverages aren't that bad, however they're still gonna have a harder time benching. This is especially true in the middle weight classes where you don't generally have guys who are so massive that they can overcome these leverages. Your best benchers at 242 are going to have shorter arms and bad deadlift leverages (they'll usually be shorter guys). I think that's why the deadlift numbers in your examples would be considered high.

Yeah, I think as lifters we always have a tendency to fall back on our own experiences, so since deadlift is your best lift that part of the equation is always going to seem easiest. 242 class is kinda a weird class for raw lifters anyway from my (admittedly limited) viewing in that there seems to be alot more Bench&Squat guys than Deadlift guys.

There seem to be a lot of Bench + Squat powerlifters, period. I've only seen a few videos of Deadlift specialists, and they were mostly in the SHW classes or very close to that.

As you optimize your leverages (gain weight to powerlifting proportionate height) they start to favor your squat/bench more than your deadlift. Louie Simmons is famous for saying gain weight until your deadlift starts going down, then drop to the weight class below that, that's your "ideal" weight class. Plus, raw or geared you can build a better total with two good lifts, rather than one good lift.
