I like to train my core on squat days. I found when i trained my core the day before squat day it is hard for me to stay tight while squatting. But I've known guys do train core before squat days as well. I know my answer probably doesn't help much, but give it a try and see how you feel.

I wouldn't train lower back or abs hard the day or two before squat or deadlift day.
In general I think it's best to hit the core hard on squat/deadlift days, or several days before squat/deadlift days.

I train my core on my deadlift and squat days after the main lift... and also do random hanging exercises at home

Again its good to see guys pushing squat and dl, for core strength. DL's use more muscles than you realize as do squats trying to keep that heavy s*** steady. I add in some planks, leg raises and rev crunches though at end of my training.

I think i put the core on the squat day and deadlift day.
The core need some attention by me. I feel that my lowerback need more attention. I'm making a routine designed to assisted te main lifts. When i'm done i'll put it on the forum for control and pointers |
