MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED OF ALL CONTESTANTS) All proceeds from contest will go to a charity for a little girl by the name of Riley who has Cystic Fibrosis, as well as her brother Jack who has been diagnosed with the same disease. More information about the charity can be found on www.KissesForRiley.com Promoter: Luke Zolnierowski - lzolnierowski@yahoo.com or 908-494-3064 Date: August 14th, 2010 Time: Weigh-ins – 9:00 AM, Rules – 9:45 AM, Contest Start – 10:00 AM Location: Power & Fitness Gym – 280 Saint George Avenue, Rahway NJ 07065 CONTEST DETAILS Divisions: LW/MW/HW Men, LW/HW Masters, LW/HW Teens (Note- if there are fewer than 5 in any division, they will be combined into existing divisions) EVENTS: All weights are approximate. Events and/or rules may change without notice. MAX CIRCUS DUMBBELL PRESS 60 second time limit. Athlete must wait for the “Good” down signal to get credit for repetition. Good Lift: Implement locked out under control overhead with arms straight, head through, legs and feet parallel and stationary. Dropping of the implement from overhead will not be allowed and may result in no credit for that lift. Anything used to build up a “shelf”, which could assist in the clean portion of the lift, such as a towel between the stomach and belt will not be allowed. The weight of the dumbbell will rise 20 lb each round until a weight of 160 lb (140 lb for LW) is reached. Then the dumbbell weight will rise by 10 lb each round. Athlete picks a weight to start at and receives 3 TOTAL attempts. (Ex. A start at 160 equates to attempts at 160, 180, and 190 lb) LW/MW MEN - Minimum starting weight - 120lbs HW MEN - Minimum starting weight - 140lbs LW/MW TEENS - Minimum starting weight - 100lbs LW/MW MASTERS - Minimum starting weight - 120lbs SANDBAG SPRINT Athlete picks up implement and walks 50’ to a turn, then walks 50’ back to start. In the beginning, a 5’ grace distance will be given where the athlete may repick the implement. Chalk, belt, and straps are allowed. Anything used to build up a “shelf”, such as a towel between the stomach and belt will not be allowed. LW/MW MEN - 275lbs HW MEN - 300lbs LW/MW TEENS - 250lbs LW/MW MASTERS - 275lbs FRAME CARRY/DRAG 60 second time limit. The implement is to be moved 50’, then dragged 50’ back. In the case an athlete cannot finish the course; the distance the athlete has advanced will be measured. Equipment Not Allowed: Tacky LW/MW MEN - 500lbs HW MEN - 550lbs LW/MW TEENS - 400lbs LW/MW MASTERS - 475lbs GIANT YOKE WALK 60 second time limit. Fastest time wins. The implement must be moved 60’. Sliding of the implement will not be allowed. The whole implement must cross the line to stop the timer. LW/MW MEN - 600lbs HW MEN - 700lbs LW/MW TEENS - 530lbs LW/MW MASTERS - 575lbs ATLAS STONE FOR MAX HEIGHT 60 second time limit per attempt. Stone will be placed in front of bar. Athlete chooses starting height and attempts each succeeding height until he fails. It is a benefit to start at a higher height. Belt with buckle to the front or towel or similar object placed over the belt to provide a “shelf” will not be allowed. Tacky and arm sleeves are allowed. Belt is allowed but buckle must be to the back. Stone height will start at 42”. LW/MW MEN - 270lbs HW MEN - 310lbs LW/MW TEENS - 240lbs LW/MW MASTERS - 270lbs JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. EVENTS MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. AWARDS: TROPHIES, T-SHIRTS AND GOODIES BAGS FOR ALL COMPETITORS ENTRY FEE: $50 AND VALID NAS CARD, NEW CARDS AVAILABLE AT SHOW ENTRY DEADLINE: AUGUST 7TH, 2010 MAIL ENTRY FORM and FEE TO: LUCJAN ZOLNIEROWSKI 824 ERCAMA STREET LINDEN NJ 07036 The promoter also added: "There will also be a women's division at our contest. The events will be as follows: > Log for reps 100 lb, Clean once > Chain yoke 350 lb 50' > Sandbag carry 100' 150 lb > Car push/ Keg Carry medley 160 lb keg > Stone for reps to 46" 170 lb The women will go before the men starting at 10 AM. After the ladies go through all 5 events, the men's contest will start at approximately 11 AM. The entry fee for women will be $30 and the first place winner will receive a trophy. If you are a girl and are interested in competing just send in the men's entry form will a check for $30. " |
