i used to train DL twice a week (helped me rocket up
), but even at my low strength level(compared to you), i cant deadlift twice a week anymore... i'm typically a cripple after deadlift for at least two days (although after yesterday's session, i feel oddly good today).as you know i was experimenting with squatting a **** load of days a week, but deadlift messed it up... i had no good place to throw DL in, so i went back to a more normal schedule... _________ anyway, i think different people handle it better than others... if you can train it twice a week, take full advantage of it and train it twice a week.... i recover from squats very well, unlike you and others, so i was trying to take advantage of that

I think if you follow the percentages as you've outlined and stay away from failure you could knock out two sessions a week for a long time.
I've been pushing it pretty hard, pretty much 90-100% of my max on deads and that is actually taking a toll on me. My next training cycle I'm going back to some more moderate percentages so I can hit it once a week.

The big issue for me now is...squat on the light deadlift day, or in between deadlift days...
I also love heavy RDLs, so I am also thinking that if I deadlift twice a week, I might be bumping RDLs.

i dont see why you cant do deads twice a week, hell i squat twice a week so doing deads twice i a week should be fine.... i say GIVE IT HELL

Last year for two months I was determined to improve my strength and bulk up. I did four workouts a week, each with,
Squat Bench Row Overhead press Deadlift and had warmup sets of 1x5 at 50% work weight, 1x5 at 66%, 1x5 at 75%, then 3x5 at work weight. I got stronger, and grew. However, I was not moving anywhere near the weights BendTheBar would be moving. They were big weights for me, the 5 reps sometimes couldn't be completed and I had to add a makeup set - but they weren't big weights. So I say, give it a go for a couple of weeks and see how you feel.

Deadlifts are a little more taxing on the body, many more muscle groups are used.
