^ Ditto. A big congrats for the effort. The result wasn't what you wanted but don't sweat it. Live and learn and keep pushing for strength.

That's the one I had in mind. Let me know if you're interested in doing it. I'll try everything in my power to get over for it. Its only a half hour away from me. Probably only 45 minutes north of the Iowa line in the south central part of Minnesota. It depends on where you are, and how far you want to drive.

I would drive that far that isnt an issue but I want to make sure I can train with the weights of the competition beforehand, I have never even been to an NAS event and have no idea what to expect. I am still very green to all of this. I only have 5 months training under my belt and a gym with everything needed other than stones for strongman training. There is a gym somewhere near me that I may be able to train stones at, but I would have to do some checking.

My band has played that county fair for several years in the past. We've always been the night before the strongman comp. I have noticed atlas stones, and an atlas stone platform. I would imagine that since we're dealing with a rural county fair, that there would also be a tractor tire flip, probably a farmers carry, tractor pull, etc. I've never seen the event, but if you were to enter, I'd try to get over for it.

Go to the NAS site and the entry form is on line, with all the events and weights already posted. Train hard.

I would love to come up and watch, and defenitely hope to make the trip but there is no way I can be ready for a contest of that weight. Not only am I already 20 pounds over so I would be a heavy weight, but a 910 pound tire? YIKES! It is just too short of a time frame. It is defenitely something I would like to shoot for next year however.
