Skinny is for supermodels, and prepubescent children.

I can't stand supermodels, and I tell my kids to eat, and lift.

BRB, I've got a piece of pizza in the microwave.

Bullsh*t to me. As long as you're watching your form, then it's 10x more brutal than their little 8-rep DL's they can keep a straight face through.

I know, it's fantastic. I'm going to try it sometime. (perhaps not with 315 just yet, lol.)
Well, wait until you get 41 and see if you still think that way. I've been there and done it. Do it while you can though!

OMG. I'm loling so hard at some of the comments I'm getting from BB.com about this shizz.

I posted the original vid on BB.com, and these were responses I was getting:

"Young lady you know dead lifting inst meant to go over 8 reps maximum, form becomes slack ect."

"The vids are invalid as this depends on weight, if you can do 405 x 30 then yes your guna grow and they will clearly be beneficial, but if you can only do 200 x 30 then the weight isn't enough in comparison to what you could be doing to make you grow, may as well do high rep pull ups or something of the sought which would be better and safer."

"20 reps dead lifts are not as beneficial as 6 rep dead lifts."

"high rep deadlifts are just for showing off, probly what the people in those vids are doing."

uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh.

Anyone who says that high-rep deadlifts are not beneficial are dumbasses.

Mind = blown. I'd like to see them try 405x27 and say it's not helping their body grow whatsoever.

Everyone has such a cookie-cutter mindset about "rep schemes" and "hypertrophy/endurance" ranges for lifting.

All I know is that after a while singles stopped helping my deadlift total. I hovered at 500 for a year. 4 months in the range of 3 to 10, and my deadlift went through the roof. I will never be able to do 30 reps, so I can't say what they help or harm.

The "he's showing off" assumptions are a little unfounded. John Grimek trained in higher rep ranges. Just because something isn't OCD bodybuilding style doesn't equate to showing off. That's a big leap to draw that conclusion. I had a goal early this year to hit 405x20, and I wasn't trying to show off. I was trying to hit 405x20 because I wanted to.
