No doubt about that b-dub! Chest day prior to getting under the squat bar can be tough just getting into position!

I like a closer grip on the squat, but go extra wide for shoulder reasons. I will even use a 45 degree false grip to help with wrist and shoulder strain.

Also, play around with placement on the back. I feel more strain the lower the bar is placed. You could possibly place the bar a tad bit higher to counter the downward pull on the delt.
that is when i really feel the strain, but the bar feels so much better there than on my traps

I really can't place the bar low when I'm as heavy as I am.

Anyone use the Top Squat or Chambered Bar, can you tell me if it feels awkward to use with heavy weights?

I think RoaringMad Mac uses that one...or at least he had one. I think he got rid of his rack, so he probably let that go too.

Thanks Rick. With the price of the Top Squat it's almost worth it to find a used chambered bar instead.

Never used the top squat

I used the slightly cambered bar at Westside when I visited, and it was the best feeling ever. I just haven't jumped out there and bought one yet. Definitely worth it though. Im pretty sure this is the one

Thanks BW. I would love to try that bar and see how it feels for heavy singles.

Here you go NT:
