Default Poundstone On Deadlifts

This may have been posted here before. I don't know, but this is worth reposting. This video has helped my deadlift a lot over the last month, and it's worth sharing and rewatching. Before watching this video the first time, I had fallen into the trap of "pulling" more than "pushing". I did fine, but now I'm doing better after remembering the "push".

Definitely. I wouldn't argue with him on how to deadlift properly.

Thumbs up

i like the way he explains it. he gives a few different analogies for you to latch onto. also, he's clearly enthusiastic about what he's doing. seems like a great teacher. i didn't need basic form advice, but i also never thought of the role of the lower back in exactly the terms he describes.

Huh. In all my, um, short time lifting (haha), I have never come across that "philosophy of deadlifting" until now.

Could be useful. I'll see if it makes any difference, next week.
