Looks like 85% squat, and the last 15% was a good morning. If you're consistently getting 2/3 red lights for depth, you may have a depth issue. Just saying. No polite way to put it. I hope this is not a form bad habit I develop as the weight goes up. I'd rather people question whether it was necessary to go as low as I did.

Guy has a strong lowerback. I had a training partner that would do the same thing. His hips would stop about at paralell and then he would just bend all the way over at the waist. Reminds me of Goggins.

Definitely a strong guy and to be fair to him, I don't see him moaning much about it?

Although I just gave him my opinion in his squat video, so I may get shouted at. We'll see!

I guess I should add that this guy Layne is obviously still incredibly stong, these are just my thoughts on this specific video and in no way represent the opinions of any organization, real or imaginary, nor are they approved by any regulatory agency. All of my opinions should be taken with plenty of water and bacon.

This is why I generally don't "follow" anyone or anything in any of these sports.

If Layne is going to bodybuild, then he will be judged by how big, symmetrical, and dry his muscles look.

If he is going to enter powerlifting competitions, he will be judged on his strength AND his form.

There is no "hating" in acknowledging that his depth is not deep. No one cares how deep you squat when you are flexing in posers. People care about how deep you squat when you are squatting in a singlet for a record.

That he calls it "hating" just reinforces that he has bought into his own overly inflated sense of self-importance. It's sad and pathetic at the same time.

Well that has made me think twice about him then, I hadn't heard of anything like that before.

Anyone got a link to the brostorm?
