I have a pair of Nike Romaleos. I wouldn't even consider squatting in anything but. They even saved my bacon in Vegas at the WPC Worlds. We had to squat on convention floor carpeting. They provided the stability I needed to nail my 2nd and 3rd attempts. I did get a strain in my right quad, but it could have been alot worse.

At my Oly lifting course I took last year, all the guys approved off them, including the Oly Coach.

Karim Adidas makes a power trainer that's around $85. I know Jeff trains in the Nikes because they're wider. I have an old pair of VS Weightlifting shoes that I'm getting used to again this cycle. The jury is still out but I am able to stay more upright and hit depth easier.

Reebok actually just came out with a new olympic lifting style shoe as part of their partnership with crossfit. My be worth checking out. I've held a pair and they're legit.

Personally, I just stick with chucks. 1/2 a size small, tied nice and tight when I'm squatting so I can push out against the ground without my feet moving around inside.

I have them. They are solid. However, they have a light forward inclination I have them. They are solid. However, they have a light forward inclination which will help more for Olympic lift. I'm not into cross fit but I can't see anybody using them...and like other said...squat in what ever is more comfortable for the lifter.
