I did a lot of leg presses as a whippersnapper. Those, tag-teamed with squats, seemed to really build my quad strength and size.

I think for guys who are squatting a lot, but not seeing much quad size and strength increase, extra quad work is a great choice.

You can never have enough back, tricep and quad strength in my opinion.

This is exactly why I was thinking of adding it into my accessory work. Three sets of 3ppsx15 was work for me, so I think I could benefit from this addition

Thanks for the replies, I'm not really experienced enough yet to know what works for me, so I just want to make the right choice and not choose an exercises that may not be needed.

Yeah, I think that's the right way. Your go-to exercise will generally be the squat and that won't change, but after some years mastering that exercise you'll know when you need to add something else and what that is.
