So, when deciding how to make it you need to take into account the weight and easiness of shifting it and how the materials stand up to being shifted and/or stood on end, in addition to where to store it, such as behind two uprights near a wall, maybe.

It was suggested already but...go to you tube. I just did a search and there are few good ideas...just type " how to build a weightlifting plattform"...one suggestion...if you are a sumo deadlifter that gets the toes 1cm from the plates I would also ad nonslip tape to it...you never know.

i think i would steer away from OSB... i think it might give way under and slip of the bar from your hands at a very short distance from the platform... go with the Plywoood it will be stronger and last longer

Another vote for plywood. You may want to put some handles on it if your going to pick it up and move it.

Good idea on plywood and handles. most of the time it will live up against the wall, so i'll put some sturdy handles on it to makes lifting and securing it easier

Handles that you can also use to loop bands around may be something to consider.

Yes. I used some hanging hooks on mine. Works well but they are only screwed in so I sometime worry they may become projectiles one day.
