Hit a few sets of light squats tonight with what I would consider success! After deload deadlifts I did 135x8x3. I made quite a few adjustments to my setup and form:
1. took a little wider stance 2. took a wider grip 3. concentrated on sitting down instead of back 4. forced knees out all the way down into the hole and held them out as best I could I typically cannot hit depth with this light of weight on the bar. I was consistently able to hit below parallel on every rep. And I felt like I was much more upright than normal! Friday is deload squat day so I will try to get some vids for critique

All those tips + OH squatting with a 10# bar did the same for me!

That's awesome news man! It's even easier to hit depth WITHOUT the wider stance, but if you can hit depth consistently wider, that's just fine.
I had that same problem, actually. I could never hit depth without a couple plates per side. Now it's not so bad. Good job. |

I had a relatively narrow stance anyway though I think. Widening it made it just a bit outside my shoulders, but will be experimenting to find optimum width. |
