My amazing wife!
Over a year ago my wife got the bug to start powerlifting with me. She showed lots of promise, but a couple weeks later she broke her finger, then a few weeks after that she got pregnant with our amazing daughter, Josie. She was finally able to start really training again only a couple weeks ago when we got a small home gym together.
Today, after only a couple deadlifting sessions, she pulled 155lb. conventional at a bodyweight of 112lb. This is probably the 5th dead lifting session she's EVER done. I'm so incredibly proud of her, and I want everyone to know it. :mh: |
Congratz to Mrs Soldier for never giving up on the powerlifting and for her PR Pull of 155. There are lots of strong women in my powerlifting crew and it's always a treat to hear more and more women getting it done.
Congratz as well for being a new father.:march: |
Thanks my friend!

Awesome!
been trying to get my wife in to it. a few weeks ago, i got in an arguement with a friends friend on facebook. shes always posting how she kills it in the gym, paleo this, leangains that.....so i called her out. i told her she was weak and out of shape for someone who has been "crushing weights" after 5x a week, years in the gym and that any untrained woman could hit those numbers day 1 or after a few weeks. asked her what her numbers where, then convinced my wife to get in the rack and hit those numbers. My wife crushed all her lifts, no warm up, little coaching. i think it was 65 ohp, 85 bench, 150 deadlift and 115 squat. she had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the deadlift the most. wish she would start lifting with me |
