Strongman Training
I am serious considering a strongman competition in July. Any advice on ghetto/home training with limited equipment?

Start carrying heavy weights over short distances.

Yeah buddy! Practice anything you can. Push/pull the car with weights loaded in it, loaded carries, and press awkward objects. Logs are hard because they are so far off center of gravity, not so much the weight.
Also, work with a fat bar, it changes everything. 2" thick pvc might work, not really sure. |
I think I am going to get a ruck sack and load it with stones to help for stone practice. Just to help warm up and limber up.

my guess is the sack should work well as long as you don't let yourself dig your fingers into it

What about a slosh pipe, for cardio work with a difference?
