First, how many days a week can you lift? 3, or 4 work better for you?

Second, do you have access to a squat rack, and can you bench press safely?

Didnt know type 2 Diabetics took insulin, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 9 so, I been insulin dependent ever since. Congrats on the weight loss by the way!

I saw this quote from Reg Park..

Quote:
..the only difference between a strength trainer and a bodybuilder is the amount of food they eat. The bodybuilder should increase caloric intake to add more muscle mass while the strength trainer, or powerlifter, shouldn’t eat so much to avoid unnecessary weight.
I dont know if this has any truth to it, or maybe its a old theory. Though I'm sure everyone on here has some awesome advice to share with you. Good luck on your goals!

Congratulations on staying sober - Three years is a great accomplishment. Also congrats on all the hard work you have put in. Obviously, it is paying off. 60 lbs is a big loss. Stay on top of your nutrition and strength training. Best of luck to you. God bless.
