Depending on the fed...naw...just wear your clothes, maybe weigh in with just your skips on but other than that just rock your clothes. No need to get all technical, it's your first meet so nerves will already be on high.

Thanks. Had always wondered if I needed to weigh in with my belt and shoes on or if I just showed up and got weighed like I do for SM.

I've done 3 "events" to date. None sanctioned. Only one took all day. What I've picked up has been about the seemingly small things.
Stress reduction. If you're not there trying to make a living off of it, why let it stress you out? There's a huge difference between being mentally prepared and overthinking everything. I spend more time socializing with the people I see doing well than I do worrying about how my next lift will go. When it's time to be under the bar, just give it hell and walk away knowing you did your best. Food. If I want to try something specific the day of the even with my diet, I'm already trying it during the week prior so I know whether I'm going to have any "issues". I also make sure I start hydrating about two days prior. A few snacks that I know won't give me a sugar buzz, or sit heavy in my gut. I spread my BCAA drink out over a little while during the day. Planning your lifts prior to is great, but listen to your body and keep in mind your other lifts. Don't put yourself in a position for injury to try impressing or keeping up with anyone. And have fun.
