I do supplemental grip work, wrist curls and dumbell holds. Kroc rows also are awesome.

1,i learn to use straps the right way 2,i include Kroc rows in to my normal routine 3,i do supplement exercises on my rest days like bb wrist curls or db wrist or both and bb shrugs and db shrugs |

Kroc rows are not as important as just improving your overall back strength. They certainly are a good choice, but you want one of your main focuses to be on beefing up your overall back strength from top to bottom with rows, deadlifts, pull ups, heavy trap work, etc.
Point being, you can really use any type of rows you prefer.
