A comment from the attached Youtube video.

Quote:
I know crossfitters who can deadlift 120KG without the bar bending, this makes the lift harder. Lifting 120kg without the bar bending is way harder than deadlifting 360kg. They can also run 10km, and a bet this guy can't.
The responses are epic, so if you want a quality 5 minutes of entertainment check them out. Here are a few:

Quote:
of course the bar wont bend at that weight. DYEL

are you seriously that ****ing stupid?
Quote:
he's a powerlifter don't go full retard, they use fake ass plates to make it seem like they're lifting actual weight

I don't get the concept of being a human donkey when a 170 lbs thai boxer could dismantle a 280 lbs power lifter in 10 seconds, looks far better, gets far more female love........ and wipes his own ass......and doesn't suffer from spinal compression problems and ***ing obliterated cartilage, I just don't get it? you lifted a heavy object yaaayy

What? Ah...Crossfit. I don't know what's more impressive- the lift in the video or doing 100 power cleans with 115 pounds at a bodyweight of 210....(sarcasm) Dang good lift. Stupid comments. Thanks for the entertainment.

On the lift though, I think some federations would probably call it no lift, because didn't the bar lower at one point during the lift? I'd say it's a good lift personally, but I believe some federations would say no. Anyone have any feedback on that?

I love the crossfit lovers... they are so happy and content with bad form, being psuedo-elites, and obvisoulsy being WAYYY better at exercise than everyone else...smh

I just wonder what they think of the World Strongman Series. They say something along the lines "We're almost as good as what you do, but you can't do what we do". I would like to see them say that someone like Magnus, or Savickas. Yeah, Savickas probably can't run a HALF marathon in as good of a time as them, but I'd say the majority of competitors are also no where near strict pressing a 400 lb log over their heads or able to do the stones as fast as he or Shaw...I could go on, but I won't.

BendtheBar: Just realized that you bend the bar in order to make your 700 lb deadlifts easier. Dont bend it and you will struggle with 300 lbs

Neither logs, nor stones bend. So crossfitters should have a field day in strongman contests, amirite

My biggest problem with crossfitters are the "stigma" that they believe they are the "elite" of the fitness world...my response to that is...WHO CARES?

LOL

On a serious note, I would love to take on nearly any cf'er who thinks they are in better shape than me. If there was a reverse wilks for pullups, I would own them.
