![]() My 14 year old nephew has the bug as well. We're working on deadlift form. Stand up and drive the hips forward. Here he is making 185 look very easy. It is for him. We use a scale of 1 to 10 to determine difficulty and try not to go past a 6.

Very Awesome to see you mentoring both of them in the ways of the iron. I think most of us can look back and say we wish we had a Steve (or similar equivalent) teaching us the ways of the Iron in our early teens.

I have to say I'm jealous and agree with Josh that most lifters wish they had an awesome mentor in their youth. 185 easy @ 14 years old and training very casually? What is it with these uber-strong teens?
Wouldn't have managed half that at that age!

It was a great time. I didn't lift much at all but had fun just sitting back and watching these two grind it.
No controlers or joy sticks in there hands. See way to much of that in the young kids now days These two rock. ^5
