International Powerlifting Association (IPA)



The International Powerlifting Association's motto is "Lifters For Lifters". The IPA offers both a Pro and Amateur division as well as raw and equipped lifting.

Drug Testing
Drug testing occurs for Amateur competitors.

Equipment
In the equipped divisions, up to 2 ply bench shirts and lifting suits are allowed in any type of material. Canvas and denim are allowed. Open back and velcro closure shirts are acceptable. Briefs are legal. Knee wraps up to 2.5 m can be used.

In raw divisions, wrist wraps are allowed. Knee wraps are not.

SUBMASTER: 33 39 (Pro/Am)
MASTER: 40 44, 45 49, 50 54, 55 59, 60 64, 65 69, 70 74, 75 79, 80+ (Pro/Am)
POLICE: (Am Only)
SPECIAL OLYMPIAN: (Am Only) Teen 14-19; Open 20-29; Master 30+
