International Raw Powerlifting (IRP)



The International Raw Powerlifting (IRP) was founded in 2011. The is organization has only 4 weight classes in the men's division and only one 1 in the females.

Permitted Equipment

• customary powerlifting resp. weightlifting belts
• wrist bandages
• weightlifting suits or bench-press singlets which fit tightly
• thermobandages for the knee area which can be pulled over -> NO wrapbandages

WARNING! All equipment must be authorized before the competition from the technical director.
Categories

Age categories men and women

• Juniors up to 23
• Aktives 24 - 39
• Masters I 40 - 49
• Masters II 50 - 59
• Masters III over 60
Bodyweight categories

Women:
• no weightclasses
• Evaluation by Reshel formula

Men:
• up to 75 kg: lightweight
• up to 95 kg: middleweight
• up to 115 kg: heavyweight
• over 115 kg: superheavyweight

• the weight performance subtracted with the body weight of every athlete is taken into account in the specific weight classes
• this is applied to the advertised weight class tournaments
• at open tournaments without weight class grouping the reshel formula is used
• for the inquiry of the overall winner at weight class tournaments the reshel formula is also used
