http://muscleandbrawn.com/forums/att...1&d=1306078311 The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) is the governing body of international powerlifting. The IPF is comprised of member federations from over 100 countries located on six continents. In the United States, the USAPL sanctions local and regional meets. The IPF is also responsible for coordinating powerlifting's participation in the World Games. The World Games is an international event affiliated with the International Olympic Committee. It consists of official and demonstration sports selected from those not included in the Olympic Games. The World Games are held the year following the Summer Olympics. Drug Testing IPF meets are drug tested. Equipment The IPF allows single ply polyester bench shirts and lifting suits. They don't allow denim, canvas, open back or velcro closure shirts. Briefs are not legal. Knee wraps up to 2 m may be used. I believe the weight classes have changed:
On page 32 at http://www.powerlifting-ipf.com/file...GA_2010_HP.pdf it mentions it, and I know it was shown in other spots. I only know because I plan to compete under the Ontario Powerlifting Association and they follow IPF rules and mentioned the changing of weight classes (eg 75kg -> 74kg, etc) |
