A Las Vegas woman accused of fatally stabbing her 6-year-old daughter with a pair of scissors refused to leave her jailhouse bed Wednesday for a hearing in the murder case.

The bizarre decision by suspect Danielle Yvonna Slaughter came three days after the naked, blood-spattered woman was arrested after peeling off her clothes as she ran down the street.

Paramedics took the 27-year-old barefoot woman to the hospital, while police discovered her daughter Kyla Franks dead inside a bedroom at their home.

Slaughter, currently jailed under supervised isolation in the Clark County jail, insisted on staying in her cell rather than going to court.

Her arraignment was rescheduled to Friday as public defender Andrea Luem expressed worries about Slaughter’s mental health and ability to stand trial.

“My concern is whether she’s able to understand the charges,” Luem said.

Slaughter, after her arrest, told police that her daughter was speaking “evil words” and laughing in an “evil voice” before the fatal attack.

There was, she added, an “evil presence” in their home.

Slaughter appeared disoriented the morning after her arrest, asking detectives, “Did I kill my daughter? Is my daughter dead?”

The murder suspect claimed that she was suffering from insomnia after taking the weight-loss product Hydroxycut four days before the killing.
